So this is the final Seven Lemons lockdown challenge!

Let’s have a reminder of the tiny habits that you might have tried over the last 6 weeks. 

I hope you have incorporated some of these ideas into your lifestyle and are feeling the benefits of an early morning routine to set your day with a bit of zest!

Week 1.  Early morning lemon water - hydrating and liver cleansing

Week 2   Brain dumping in a journal - setting the day right with a positive mindset

Week 3.  Upping your fibre with flaxseed - improving gut health

Week 4.  Crowding your plate with lovely plants - nourishing your body 

Week 5.  Daily walk - moving your body and helping your mind

Week 6.  Going on a food adventure - finding nutrients in new foods

Creating your own healthy ‘Non Negotiables’ might be something you might want to try and could include any of the above. Use them as a foundation to the day. 

Do you have a full proof method to start your day right?

This is incredibly helpful when life feels like it’s giving you lemons!

I know that if I am feeling overwhelmed or over tired or I have over indulged and feel sluggish, it is very easy to fall into a negative spiral of “WTF” especially in the current climate, and all the things you want to do just seem like too much effort, even the nice things!  

Does this sound familiar?

This is when you need to use your ‘non negotiables’ to completely change your mindset and reframe your mood. Trust me it does work.

Happy to share my non negotiables for the first hour of the day:

  • up as early as possible! 

  • lemon water with apple cider vinegar

  • write in my journal/ plan for the day

  • 10 minutes meditation using the ‘calm’ app 

  • 6 sun salutations 

  • espresso 

  • grab the dogs and get outside for a walk 

  • swim in sea (summer)

There are times when I do this daily ritual and my brain is saying “NO I DO NOT WANT TO DO THIS” but I let the habit take over and usually by the time I am on my yoga mat I am beginning to feel optimism and pretty good.

I am really excited about this next challenge.
